Enerfin Renewables LLC is a wholly owned subsidiary of Enerfin Sociedad de Energía, S.L.U. (Enerfin), a global energy company dedicated to the development and operation of wind and solar energy projects around the world. Enerfín is involved in 1,350MW of operating projects located in Spain, Brazil and Canada, and produces more than 2,300 GWh/year.

Scott Hawken
Managing Director

As Managing Director, Scott oversees all development efforts across the nation. This includes, but is not limited to strategy, operations, and execution of projects from prospecting phase all the way to COD. ▪ Scott holds an MBA from Troy University and a B.S. in Marketing from Miami University of Ohio. He is also a Veteran of the United States Air Force. ▪Prior to heading up the Enerfin team, Scott spent almost two decades gaining experience at some of the leading energy development firms in the nation: NextEra Energy, Duke Energy, and Apex Clean Energy. At these companies, Scott gained expertise in project development, business development, and mergers & acquisitions. ▪ When Scott is not leading the Enerfin team, he can be found spending time with his family exploring Charlottesville and its surrounding areas.

Austin Beale
Operations Support & Development Analyst

As Operations Support & Development Analyst, Austin is responsible for managing the office and supporting development efforts. This includes but is not limited to project/office schedules and budgets, market and policy research, prospecting screening, and marketing materials. ▪Austin holds a B.A. in Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia. At UVA, Austin also received a Business Fundamentals Certificate from the McIntire Business Institute. ▪Prior to joining the Enerfin team, Austin worked at Turner Group, a Charlottesville-based commercial real estate development firm. While at Turner, Austin furthered his sales and marketing skills by honing the forward-facing voice and messaging of the firm to increase client engagement. ▪ When Austin is not assisting the Enerfin development team in their endeavors, he can be found playing soccer in a local recreational league.

 Nick Schwager
Senior Transmission Manager

As Senior Transmission Manager, Nick is responsible for overseeing the transmission strategy and implementation for the team. This includes, but is not limited to grid interconnection assessment, LMP pricing, transmission impacts, and tariff review. ▪ Nick holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Southern Illinois University. He is also a Veteran of the United States Air Force. ▪Prior to joining the Enerfin team, Nick had spent the past two decades working in and around the energy industry. He worked for MISO, Dynergy, and Vistra on their transmission and engineering teams. Nick brings a wealth of experience and knowledge about the interconnection process, engineering tools, and ISOs, which aids the team in each phase of the project. ▪ When Nick is not running transmission analyse

Patrick Hedger
Development Manager

As a Development Manager, Patrick is responsible for overseeing all phases of our development projects. This includes, but is not limited to land acquisition, environmental studies, resource studies, market analysis, interconnection, community outreach, and permitting. ▪Patrick holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech and a A.S. in Engineering from Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC). During his undergraduate studies in Blacksburg, Patrick took an interest in rocketry and was on Virginia Tech’s Propulsion Sub Team. ▪Prior to joining the Enerfin team, Patrick worked at Siemens in their Building Automation and Controls division where he improved efficiency and energy usage for companies all over the Commonwealth. At Siemens, Patrick furthered his technical expertise through conducting mechanical design drawings and utilizing control sensors for programming efforts to optimize operational services. ▪When Patrick is not working on renewable energy development projects, he enjoys swimming, biking, running, and hiking all over the Shenandoah Valley.

Brad King
Senior Director

As Senior Director, Brad leads the Development Team on the full life cycle of development efforts throughout the US. This includes, but is not limited to strategy input, execution oversight of projects from origination and development to permitting, construction coordination, and COD. In addition to prospecting for organic growth, Brad and his team also support development due diligence on potential acquisition opportunities to further complement the Enerfin pipeline. Brad holds a BA in Conflict Resolution from Syracuse Universities, Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs and is also an 8-year Combat Veteran of the United States Army. Prior to joining Enerfin, Brad has over 16+ years at Renewable Energy Companies RWE (aka E.ON) and Noble Environmental Power where he held various Development, Leadership and Management positions, developing projects in multiple energy markets and states across the U.S. and in Canada. Over the course of his career, Brad has developed, led, or contributed to the completion of over 1GW of, now Operational, renewable energy projects across the US. and is focused on continuing that success with Enerfin across all technologies, markets, and regions. When Brad is not leading the Enerfin Development team, he enjoys spending time with his family/dogs, antiquing/auctions, playing the drums, and bird carving.
